A three season sunroom is designed to be used during spring, summer and fall, while an all season sunroom is designed to be used all year round.

However, when looking at things in the bigger picture, the sum of the differences between each sunroom is a more than simply just the one season. In this blog post we will be discussing the differences in detail.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;border-style: solid;border-width: 1px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”false” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_custom_headline level=”h3″ looks_like=”h2″ accent=”false” class=”cs-ta-center” style=”color: hsl(37, 95%, 48%);margin-top: 0;”]Check Out Our Indoor Sunroom Showroom![/x_custom_headline][cs_text]We build sunrooms for Calgary’s unpredictable climate. Window and glass panes – which are the largest component of any sunroom – are also different in each of the sunrooms. Three season sunrooms are made with single pane tempered glass, which offers basic energy efficiency.[/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h3″ looks_like=”h5″ accent=”false” style=”margin-top: 25px;margin-bottom: 15px;”]Four Season (All Season) Sunroom[/x_custom_headline][cs_text]All season sunrooms are designed to be used all year round and therefore need to be fitted properly for the winter months.

The window and glass planes used in an all season sunroom will be higher performing, more energy efficient windows than the three season counterpart. This superior insulated glass reduces loss of heat through the windows and helps provide protection from UV rays. The glass we use is a cardinal tempered 272 low-e2 with argon gas.

As all season sunrooms usually have to follow the same building codes as a standard room addition.[/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h2″ looks_like=”h2″ accent=”false” class=”margin-top: 0 !important;”]Which Type of Sunroom is Best For You?[/x_custom_headline][cs_text]Generally speaking, if you only plan to use the sunroom during the warmer months, then a three season sunroom would be the obvious choice.  However, if you enjoy using the space for entertainment during winter and relish the thought of watching snowfalls right outside your window, then you should definitely consider an all season sunroom.

Here is a summary of some of the characteristics of each sunroom:[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”false” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/2″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_custom_headline level=”h2″ looks_like=”h5″ accent=”false”]Three Season[/x_custom_headline][cs_text]

  • Keeps out pollen, dust, debri and mosquitoes
  • Used all year round
  • Costs less than a 4 season sunroom
  • Adds value to your property

  • All year round entertaining room
  • A “complete” room which also provides a feeling of being outdoors
  • More expensive than a 3 season sunroom
  • Adds value to your property

It’s important to be honest when assessing your needs, as building a three-season sunroom when you intend to use it year-round is a surefire way to be disappointed.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 0px 0px 45px;”][cs_row inner_container=”false” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_custom_headline level=”h2″ looks_like=”h2″ accent=”false” class=”margin-top: 0 !important;”]We’re Here to Help![/x_custom_headline][cs_text]If you’re unsure of which direction to take your sunroom project, give us a call- we’re here to help!
